It’s been over five Decades of independence,
but women here still bear penance.
It’s a gift or a curse to a woman,
as the world is dominated by man.
In childhood it is her Dad,
impositions from all over make her sad.
After marriage it’s her Pati,
with whom she is forced to die as Sati.
Prejudices she has to bear in tons,
then comes the turn of sons.
It’s a life devoid of aspirations,
do they think women have no emotions?
Threatened by the word-Divorce,
to stop this there no force.
Ruling even over her thinking & dreams,
men even stop the hope of happy beams
Despite proving her abilities in all facets,
Liberality she is not going to get.
It’s like clotting her blood,
very soon her anger shall burst as flood.
