Adding glory to the Mumbai;’s bars,
they entertain the ones with rich cars.
Dancing & Singing on their own,
revealing clothes for their body to be shown.
There is a different story behind their smiles,
they earn as on them the whole family relies.
Daughters of the paralysed and old,
to do this they have to be bold.
Among only men it’s risky,
and they also serve them whisky.
The society see’s them with a different eye,
still to their work they can’t say good bye.
Some think they become rich,
doing this job they all have a hitch.
Banning their work was Deputy C. M,
but now as sex-workers they work till A. M.
He succeded in killing a devil,
now born is a worse peril.
His view was to save the youngsters,
stop them from becoming monsters.
To reduce the rate of atrocity,
inculcating in them a sense of integrity.
One side he has been thoughtful,
his decision for the bar girls were fierceful,
Most of them transferred to Bangalore,
there too men they will lure.
The loss is also of the bar-owners,
as no magnet to attract customers.
Hearing the CM’s reason,
the girls says “Parents can control their son”
We don’t stop them from inculcating good habits,
they why do they stop our credits?
Without dancing &singing now in bars they hang about,
this is acceptable, the police have no doubt.
In turn what’s been the result,
Will he mend this fault?
this one is d best radhika... very nicely penned dwn!! gr8 work.. looking frward to c mre of ur poems...
