Hidden Behind What You See

You see that smile which lightens up her face,
You adore it because it is not a painful grimace.

You see the glow that’s the radiance of sunshine,
You are awed by the golden beauty so divine.

You see a set of black eyes so lively,
You forget that sparkle is because they are teary.

You think she is someone full of hot air who is giggling wholeheartedly,
You seem to have not noticed what she hates is to be solitary.

You hear the confident tick tock in her gait,
You must know that struggle was even part of her fate.

You see the glossy outcome laid on a platter,

You forget the sweat that was a part of the ladder !
